People rave about the formula so much that I felt like it was worth trying. I just love blue eyeshadows, if they’re true blue or lean purple, and green ones, if they’re true green or lean a little bit to the yellow side, so I decided to take a chance after looking at what swatches I could find on the web. Hoping that the blue and the green don’t lean too teal for me… I think the other colors should be safe. I ordered Rain Dove (‘Lightest taupe with rosy gold highlights’), Mysterious Tinamou (‘Iridescent, bejewelled deep-sea blue’), Trumpeter Koel (‘Dark lead-grey with lilac-blue iridescence’), Vivacious Maguari (‘Highly polished pure sterling silver’), and Whispering Ibis (aLovely, rich iridescent fern-green, shimmering with gold pearls’). Once I had five eyeshadows + the gloss in the cart, it was giving me $50 off a $150 order! Seriously! The eye gloss + 5 Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadows for $102! So, even though I’ve never tried the eyeshadow before, I went for it, since people rave about them so much. So I took it out of the cart and started adding individual eyeshadows instead. While I was at the website, I noticed that, if I had the eye gloss + the palette in my cart, it was giving me a $15 discount… but I decided that the palette runs a bit dark for me. I felt adventurous and ordered the eye gloss - not sure if I’ll like the messy/grungy look, but it’s worth a try, especially if the gloss is comfortable to wear! I feel like I just conquered the world because I finally figured out how to collapse Connor’s play yard, huzzah!Įl Hub had been using brute gorilla force to force it in and out of doorways, which was scratching up the walls, but then I - wait for it - read the manual and figured out that it’s really east to collapse down, so now she’s about to hang out with me in my bedroom while I run a couple miles on the treadmill. Lips: Urban Decay Hex Glide-On Lip Pencil, MAC Driftwood Liptensity Lipstick On top of the world! In my mind, this eye makeup would look like this all day… But in reality it looks like this by the afternoon!ĮYES: MAC Tailor Grey Paint Pot, MAC Smolder Eye Kohl, Rouge Bunny Rouge Eye Gloss, Urban Decay Cannonball MascaraįACE: MAC Lightful C Tinted Creams in Medium Plum and Medium Deep, Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealers in R40 and Y41, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Golden, Hourglass Mood Exposure Blush It’s supposed to look messy, and sometimes that’s great. What’s super cool about gloss is that you have so much room for error. When you only have a short time for your makeup, you can’t expect to do everything perfectly. Like, when I close my eyes and look down, you can see that my liner has transferred into the crease, but it’s purposefully messy. I think the most important thing to remember about eye gloss is that it isn’t meant to look perfect and precise, and you just have to embrace that otherwise, all you see are the imperfections. Its superior color purity stays true for up to 15 hours, and will not streak, crease, or flake. The innovative, second-skin-like formula blends smoothly over lids and creates seamless, buildable coverage without looking heavy or cakey. Then I added layer upon layer of my favorite waterproof mascara, Urban Decay Cannonball Ultra Waterproof. This highly-pigmented, long-wearing eyeshadow goes on creamy and dries to an intense, vibrant finish. It was actually really messy and looked very scary, but then I put the gloss on top, and it all melted together into glossy, grungy goodness. Unfortunately, the keyboard on the C64 Mini is not functional and is only a part of the unit’s housing. Originally, there was a handheld planned for the modern rendition of the Commodore 64. Hopefully, the handheld project will return at a later date. Originally, they had planned to do a full unit with a handheld component, but there were some issues somewhere along the way. The C64 Mini was put together by Retro Games Ltd, which shrinks the unit by about 50%, adds HDMI output, and enables users to load their games via USB. They are also tough systems as many of the ones purchased back in the '80s are still fully functional. ![]() The system would become quickly known for its video game offerings and even today games are being developed on the unit. The Commodore 64 launched in late summer of 1982, an 8-bit computer back when they were fitting a whole unit inside of a keyboard rather than the tower designs used later on. In an effort to capture that magic, the C64 Mini has been released, which gave us the perfect chance to talk with one of the most prominent figures in the still active C64 community, Joerg Droege, Organizer and Founder of Scene World. Arguably the most popular 8-bit computer ever, the Commodore 64, found its way into many homes during this era, where consumers quickly learned that video games were not only fun on computers as well, but there was also a vast array of opportunities for those that enjoy tinkering with their toys. ![]() Atari became a household name and just as quickly sunk into oblivion. ![]() The Nintendo Entertainment System slowly made waves across the world. Arcades drained the quarters of teenagers in dark, hazy dives. Did you notice how mysterious the ending was, and yet, how it didn’t make the game pointless? How it didn’t insult your intelligence by trying to be an artistic experience when all we wanted was a good adventure game? How it didn’t abuse the trust of the player in the author of the game? How it didn’t take advantage of adventure gamers’ well-known Stockholm syndrome? How it didn’t try to pull a meaningless, ‘clever’ twist ending in a gameworld that requires heavy suspension of disbelief to begin with? How it didn’t mock the player for working hard to look past obvious shortcomings of the medium? How it didn’t reinforce the image of the author as the master of bad endings, after that MI2 fiasco so many years ago? How it was a clear sign that the author brought his A-game to this work by not disrespecting the mystery and the player, and by not recycling crappy concept art? Man, that Ron Gilbert’s a real genius. In the early 80s video games were very different than are today. Wasn’t that game just great? Really took you back to the good old days. Repeat until Delores actually pushes the button.
